What To Do If You’re Worried About Shortened Battery Life of Your Electric Mini Dumper?Let’s Extend the Life of Our EV300 Dumper Together!
The 48V20Ah lead-acid battery adapted to the mini dumper has a normal cycle life of about 300-500 times (a complete charge and discharge counts as one cycle). In daily operation scenarios, if used for 1-2 cycles per day, the actual service life is about 1-2 years;
With proper maintenance, the cycle life can be increased to more than 600 times, and the service life can be extended to 2-3 years.
Follow these steps, and you’ll have a piece of EV300 with a much longer service life:
1.Control Charging Rhythm, Avoid Overcharging and Undercharging
*Use the original 48V special charger for charging. After the green light is on, charge for an additional 1-2 hours and then stop. Never charge overnight to prevent plate sulfation and water loss;
*Recharge the battery when the remaining power is 20%-30%. Do not recharge until it is completely dead to avoid damage to the plates caused by deep discharge.
2. Control Usage Environment and Load
*Avoid using in extreme temperatures below -10℃ or above 45℃. Low temperature will reduce battery capacity, and high temperature will accelerate internal chemical reactions;
*Do not let the EV300 dumper operate under long-term overload. Overloading will cause a sudden increase in motor current, leading to high-current discharge of the battery and accelerated plate aging.
3. Do a Good Job in Daily Maintenance and Storage
*Regularly check the battery terminals to keep them clean and dry to prevent oxidation and rust:You may apply petroleum jelly to the terminals for rust prevention;
*For long-term storage, first charge the battery to 80% power, recharge every 1-2 months, and store in a cool and dry environment to avoid direct sunlight.
4. Standardize Discharge Operation
*Avoid frequent sudden acceleration and braking during operation to reduce instantaneous high-current discharge of the battery;
*If the dumper shows a significant drop in power during climbing or heavy-load conditions, stop using it immediately to prevent over-discharge of the battery.
With the above maintenance tips, your EV300 will serve you for much longer!
