bauma CHINA 2026 is set to take place in Shanghai in November 2026, marking a historic expansion of Asia‘s premier construction machinery exhibition. As the global industry converges on China’s largest trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, and construction vehicles, this edition carries significance far beyond a conventional exhibition. It reflects profound shifts in global trade patterns and the accelerating internationalization of Chinese manufacturing.
This year‘s edition introduces a groundbreaking “One Show, Two Venues” format for the first time. The Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC) will host the exhibition from November 24 to 27, while the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center (SWEECC) will open from November 23 to 26. Together, the two venues provide a record exhibition area of 400,000 square meters—an increase of more than 25% compared to previous editions. The SNIEC will continue to showcase large-scale machinery, mining and building material equipment, construction vehicles, components, and power transmission technology. The SWEECC will focus on emerging technologies, industry ecosystems, conferences, and live demonstrations, featuring dedicated zones for new energy, intelligent equipment, and digital solutions. A unified badge system and complimentary shuttle buses will connect the two locations seamlessly .
Nearly 4,000 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions are expected to participate. Leading international brands such as Caterpillar, Wirtgen Group, and Komatsu, along with major Chinese manufacturers including XCMG, SANY, Zoomlion, LiuGong, Shantui, and Lingong (SDLG), have confirmed their presence. National pavilions from Germany, Italy, the United States, and Turkey will further underscore the global character of the event .
The significance of bauma CHINA extends well beyond its exhibition halls. It serves as a critical window into the ongoing transformation of China’s construction machinery export landscape. According to customs data, China‘s construction machinery export value reached $34.37 billion in the first half of 2026, representing a year-on-year increase of 21.7%. Exports to Africa surged by 50.7%, while shipments to South America grew by 35.3%, reflecting the expanding footprint of Chinese equipment across emerging markets . Electric loaders alone recorded export growth of 172% during the same period, with 1,643 units shipped overseas, as tightening carbon regulations in Europe and North America create a historic window for Chinese electric machinery .
The 2024 edition of bauma CHINA attracted 281,488 professional visitors from 188 countries and regions, with overseas visitors accounting for more than 20%. The top ten source countries for international visitors included Russia, India, Malaysia, South Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Kazakhstan, Brazil, and Japan—markets that closely mirror the regions where Chinese construction machinery exports are gaining the strongest momentum .
What makes this exhibition particularly relevant is the deeper shift it represents. Chinese manufacturers are no longer simply exporting products. Companies like LiuGong have registered subsidiaries in Central Asia, deploying localized teams and providing on-site technical support for major infrastructure projects in Kyrgyzstan. XCMG has operated a manufacturing base in Brazil for over a decade, producing more than 30,000 units and achieving localization rates above 50% for certain product lines . This transition from “product export” to “industrial localization” signals a new phase in China‘s global construction machinery trade—one built on service networks, technical collaboration, and long-term partnerships rather than one-time transactions.

The supporting program at bauma CHINA 2026 will address these themes directly. High-level conferences will cover technological innovation, electrification and green development, global market expansion, and smart mining equipment. The Global Buyer Invitation Program will connect professional buyer delegations from Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas with Chinese manufacturers, creating concrete opportunities for international business matching .
Our company will be exhibiting at this landmark event, showcasing equipment designed for the diverse needs of global markets. We sincerely invite customers and partners from around the world to visit our booth and explore opportunities for cooperation.
